DESCRIPTION:Yorkshire Contemporary and Leeds Art Gallery present Soundplay Projects‘ The Ambient Arcade for Baby Week Leeds 2025 — celebrating early years creativity and playful exploration. \nThe Ambient Arcade is a collection of interactive audio-visual sculptures inspired by retro video game consoles and vintage computers. Each sculpture offers a unique way to play with sound\, light\, and rhythm encouraging collaboration\, creativity\, and curiosity \nDesigned for all\, the Arcade is perfect for children aged 0–10 and their grown ups. \nWe also invite artists\, practitioners and those working with children interested in developing a creative practice and facilitating play with young audiences to discover how simple technologies and responsive materials can inspire participation\, experimentation and make music-making accessible for all. \nFree\, Drop in at Leeds Art Gallery\nFri 14 Nov and Sat 15 Nov 10 am–5 pm\nSun 16 Nov 11am–3pm \nJoin Ewan Sinclair and Bal Cooke from Soundplay Projects for a free\, hands on practical workshop exploring inclusive\, multi-sensory creative approaches to music making. \nSat 15 Nov\, 3–4.30 pm\nLeeds Art Gallery\nDrop in\, free admission \nParticipants will have the chance to explore the Sensory Music Kit\, creating their own sounds\, and discover new ways to connect sound\, movement\, and play across learning\, care\, and creative settings.
