DESCRIPTION:Toddler and Me is an informal group for families with children aged 1 and 2 years\, that allows you to mix with other parents and helps to get your child ready to go to nursery. \n\nEach week will focus on a different aspect of your child’s development\, including: \n\nMessy play where your child can enjoy sensory play with lots of different experiences of sounds\, touch and smell.\nOpportunities for your child to play with children their own age.\nRhyme and stories to support your child’s speech and language development.\nOutside play with opportunities for your child to run\, jump and use their physical skills to support and develop their coordination skills.\n\nStaff will be on hand to provide advice and support around your child’s health\, supporting your child’s development and keeping your child safe. \nThe groups are free and run for 90 minutes\, once a week. Don’t worry if you can’t make the start or need to leave early – these are drop-in sessions\, and you can stay for as long as you like. \n\nToddler and Me runs from all of our Family Hubs. DESCRIPTION:No matter how you feed your baby\, we are here to help you learn how to recognise when your baby is hungry\, thirsty or needs comfort. \n\nOur friendly support groups are run by the Growing Healthy 0-25 team. Everyone is welcome including dads\, partners and other family members that support you and your baby. Older children (up to nursery age) are welcome too. \nThe sessions are drop-in\, and while we’d love you to stay and chat\, it is ok to just pop in and ask us a question. \nWhether you are breastfeeding\, bottle feeding (formula or expressed milk) or doing a mixture of both\, we are here to answer any questions you have about feeding and weaning your baby\, and you can talk to us about any worries or concerns you may have. \nWe can also offer advice and support to help you to continue to breastfeed if you are going back to work. \n\nYou can find a group near you on the link below \nInfant feeding support groups – Durham County Council

DESCRIPTION:At our Parent and Baby Group we invite children from birth to 4 years together with parents\, guardians\, grandparents or childminders to enjoy a play session in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. We provide a range of toys to suit both babies and toddlers\, which are constantly being changed so there is always something new for your child to explore. At the end of every session we sing and use scarves\, pompoms\, a parachute and puppets to engage the children. The sessions always finish with ever popular bubbles! Everyone is offered refreshments during the session too\nThe session cost £2.50 per adult and £1.00 per child. This is a drop in session – so no need to book.
