BBC CBeebies Parenting Session Online
You’re invited! Join us online on Wednesday 20th November, 2–3pm for a free session from BBC CBeebies Parenting, celebrating National Baby Week.
We’ll be joined by Janet Cooper, a Speech and Language Therapist from Stoke Speaks Out, who will share simple, practical tips to help support your child’s speech and language.
This relaxed and informative session is perfect for parents and caregivers. You’ll discover a wide range of free, trusted resources, including:
- Short videos showing everyday ways to bond and communicate with your child
- Expert advice on speech, language, emotional wellbeing and child development
- Fun activity and play ideas
- Easy techniques to support your little one’s learning
Janet will walk us through helpful strategies, with a focus on things you can use right away in daily life.

Meet Janet Cooper – Speech and Language Therapist
Janet Cooper is a highly experienced speech and language therapist who’s worked in the NHS for over 36 years, supporting children with speech, language and communication needs. She’s passionate about helping every child reach their full potential – and has spent decades creating practical advice and training for parents, nurseries and schools to make that happen.
As a proud mum of two and grandma to two little ones, Janet understands the joys and challenges of parenting first-hand. She’s been a trusted advisor and contributor to BBC CBeebies Parenting – Tiny Happy People since it began, helping shape content that supports families in building strong communication skills from day one.
