Yorkshire Contemporary and Leeds Art Gallery present Soundplay Projects‘ The Ambient Arcade for Baby Week Leeds 2025 — celebrating early years creativity and playful exploration.

The Ambient Arcade is a collection of interactive audio-visual sculptures inspired by retro video game consoles and vintage computers. Each sculpture offers a unique way to play with sound, light, and rhythm encouraging collaboration, creativity, and curiosity

Designed for all, the Arcade is perfect for children aged 0–10 and their grown ups.

We also invite artists, practitioners and those working with children interested in developing a creative practice and facilitating play with young audiences to discover how simple technologies and responsive materials can inspire participation, experimentation and make music-making accessible for all.
