Explore the programme below and join us in celebrating Baby Week 2026.

We’re excited to invite you and your family to join us for Baby Week Bucks 2026. Baby Week is a national programme celebrating early childhood and the importance of giving every baby the best start in life. It brings together services, communities, and families to share knowledge, build connections, and highlight the support available during the earliest years.

This year we are celebrating under the national theme, “Chat, Play, Read with Me – Together We Build the Best Start,” focussing on the power of everyday interactions in shaping babies’ development. From pregnancy through to age 5, these early moments help lay the foundations for lifelong health, learning, and wellbeing.

Across Buckinghamshire, local partners and community organisations will be offering free activities, events, and support for families. You can connect with other parents and carers, meet trusted professionals, and access advice on supporting your child’s development and wellbeing. Together, we’re working to ensure every baby has the best possible start, with parents and carers feeling confident, connected, and supported every step of the way, underpinned by our  Best Start in Life Plan shaped by local families and partners.

10,000 attendees

Over the last decade, Baby Week UK has expanded across England, helping thousands of parents, carers, professionals, and community members connect, learn, and access support. By showcasing free and low-cost services, activities, and opportunities, Baby Week aims to reduce barriers and improve awareness of the support available for families with children under five. Here are just a few reflections from attendees on the difference Baby Week has made.

“Baby week is an absolutely fantastic initiative in out city it bought together professionals from across the sector and gave families time to chat, learn and share their experiences of parenthood. Over 200 attendees at one of our launch event and using a city centre location and offering lots of activities for the age range (0-5) worked well.”

“It’s a fantastic way to bring communities together to learn how to offer support to your child in everyday life”
