Get ready for Newcastle Baby Week 2026!
Baby Week in Newcastle is about celebrating our Babies, expectant parents and existing parents and our professionals working with and alongside families! Our babies of today are our adults of tomorrow and the experiences and support we provide them and their families with are what sets them up for life! This years baby week theme is ‘Chat, Play, Read with me: Together we build the best start.” We focus on bringing together a range of services across our city to offer taster sessions and information for families. We have free activities on offer throughout the whole week and celebrate with a party on Thursday 19th at the North East Museum: Hancock.
Come along and meet services that support babies and their families and try out some of the fantastic offers we have including baby massage, story time, boogie bairns and more! Find out more in the events page.

Over the last decade, Baby Week UK has expanded across England, helping thousands of parents, carers, professionals, and community members connect, learn, and access support. By showcasing free and low-cost services, activities, and opportunities, Baby Week aims to reduce barriers and improve awareness of the support available for families with children under five. Here are just a few reflections from attendees on the difference Baby Week has made.
“Baby week is an absolutely fantastic initiative in out city it bought together professionals from across the sector and gave families time to chat, learn and share their experiences of parenthood. Over 200 attendees at one of our launch event and using a city centre location and offering lots of activities for the age range (0-5) worked well.”
