Explore the programme below and join us in celebrating Baby Week 2026.

In Lincolnshire we believe that every child deserves the best possible start for a happy, healthy, and successful life. The first years, from pregnancy to starting school, are crucial for your child’s future health, learning and well-being.

National Baby Week is a chance to bring together families, health professionals, and community partners to celebrate, learn and connect. We have 47 children’s centres, which are at the heart of our Best Start In Life Families and Babies offer. The centres offer free stay-and-play drop-in sessions and universal programmes for all families from antenatal to age five.

What can you expect? This year, on top of our usual offer of free groups and activities for families in our Children’s Centres and Family Hubs, we will be celebrating the theme of ‘Chat, Play, Read with Me’ across the county, with lots of special events.

Who is it for? The sessions are for all families with a focus on the first 1,001 days of a child’s life all the way up to when they start school.

What is happening during the week? Take a look at our events taking place across the week below. Do come along and join us.

How do I attend? Follow the weblinks for more information about times and venues. All sessions are free, and you do not need to book. We look forward to you joining us for this exciting week.

10,000 attendees

Over the last decade, Baby Week UK has expanded across England, helping thousands of parents, carers, professionals, and community members connect, learn, and access support. By showcasing free and low-cost services, activities, and opportunities, Baby Week aims to reduce barriers and improve awareness of the support available for families with children under five. Here are just a few reflections from attendees on the difference Baby Week has made.

“Baby week is an absolutely fantastic initiative in out city it bought together professionals from across the sector and gave families time to chat, learn and share their experiences of parenthood. Over 200 attendees at one of our launch event and using a city centre location and offering lots of activities for the age range (0-5) worked well.”

“It’s a fantastic way to bring communities together to learn how to offer support to your child in everyday life”
