Get ready for Nottingham’s Baby Week 2026!
Baby Week celebrates the importance of giving babies and infants the best start in life. It supports our commitments within Nottingham’s Best Start Strategy 2025–2035 by raising awareness of babies’ unique needs and highlighting how their earliest experiences and interactions shape their learning, development and wellbeing.
The Nottingham Best Start Family Hub Partnership is delighted to be taking part for the second year. This year’s theme, “Chat, Play, Read with Me: Together We Build the Best Start”, highlights the importance of talking, playing and sharing books from the very beginning. Our Nottingham City Best Start Family Hubs will host activities for expectant parents and families with children aged 0–5 . We are also proud to be hosting the national Baby Week conference on 18 November, bringing professionals together to share learning and strengthen our collective commitment to giving every child the best start in life.

Over the last decade, Baby Week UK has expanded across England, helping thousands of parents, carers, professionals, and community members connect, learn, and access support. By showcasing free and low-cost services, activities, and opportunities, Baby Week aims to reduce barriers and improve awareness of the support available for families with children under five. Here are just a few reflections from attendees on the difference Baby Week has made.
“Baby week is an absolutely fantastic initiative in out city it bought together professionals from across the sector and gave families time to chat, learn and share their experiences of parenthood. Over 200 attendees at one of our launch event and using a city centre location and offering lots of activities for the age range (0-5) worked well.”
