Norfolk
Explore the programme below and join us in celebrating Baby Week 2026.
The first 1,001 days from conception up to the age of two are a critical time in the development of your baby and child’s life. Norfolk’s Best Start in Life Healthy Babies and Family Hubs approach is designed to support parents and carers during this period and beyond.
The vision for our Healthy Babies offer in Norfolk is: “All babies, children and families are supported and empowered to have a healthy, happy and best start in life, ensuring they Flourish before birth and beyond.”
Norfolk is taking part in Baby Week 2026 to shine a spotlight on the support available to families in our county all year-round. We want to highlight our approach to bringing together services, communities and families to provide trusted support, advice and guidance. You can enjoy a range of free or low-cost activities and connect with local support designed for families from pregnancy and throughout the early years. We will be celebrating this year’s theme of Chat, Play, Read with Me…and highlighting how playing with your child is one of the best ways to help your child to learn and to feel loved.

Over the last decade, Baby Week UK has expanded across England, helping thousands of parents, carers, professionals, and community members connect, learn, and access support. By showcasing free and low-cost services, activities, and opportunities, Baby Week aims to reduce barriers and improve awareness of the support available for families with children under five. Here are just a few reflections from attendees on the difference Baby Week has made.
“Baby week is an absolutely fantastic initiative in out city it bought together professionals from across the sector and gave families time to chat, learn and share their experiences of parenthood. Over 200 attendees at one of our launch event and using a city centre location and offering lots of activities for the age range (0-5) worked well.”
