Explore the programme below and join us in celebrating Baby Week 2026.

This is more than a celebration; it’s a vibrant shared mission, Baby Week 2026 will bring together local organisations, services, and communities across Cambridgeshire to shine a spotlight on the importance of the very earliest years when a child’s brain grows faster than at any other point. A baby’s experiences and interactions during these early years shape how they develop, learn, feel and connect with others for the rest of their lives. Together, we want to share key health promotion messages, help parents understand the importance of their baby’s first relationships, and highlight the fantastic local services, resources, and initiatives available to support families on their parenting journey during this critical time.

Last year, many events took place including five baby week launch events across the county, including a family festival and were attended by more than 100 families. 70% of attendees who gave feedback reported they rarely access services and were not aware of what support and services were available locally, so baby week was helpful in their understanding of where to go to access help.

10,000 attendees

Over the last decade, Baby Week UK has expanded across England, helping thousands of parents, carers, professionals, and community members connect, learn, and access support. By showcasing free and low-cost services, activities, and opportunities, Baby Week aims to reduce barriers and improve awareness of the support available for families with children under five. Here are just a few reflections from attendees on the difference Baby Week has made.

“Baby week is an absolutely fantastic initiative in out city it bought together professionals from across the sector and gave families time to chat, learn and share their experiences of parenthood. Over 200 attendees at one of our launch event and using a city centre location and offering lots of activities for the age range (0-5) worked well.”

“It’s a fantastic way to bring communities together to learn how to offer support to your child in everyday life”
